7 Days Rongai Route
Journey Overview
Approaching Mount Kilimanjaro from the northern side near the Kenyan border, the Rongai Route offers a quieter and less-traveled path to the summit. Known for its drier climate, it is an excellent choice during the rainy seasons and for trekkers seeking a more peaceful mountain experience.
The route passes through remote wilderness, alpine moorlands, and dramatic volcanic landscapes before joining the Marangu Route for the final ascent and descent. With good acclimatization opportunities and spectacular views, the Rongai Route provides an unforgettable alternative to the busier southern trails.
