5 Days Marangu Route

The classic path to Africa’s highest peak.

Journey Overview

Known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” the Marangu Route is the only Kilimanjaro trail offering comfortable mountain hut accommodation throughout the climb. This five-day itinerary follows a well-established trail through lush rainforest, alpine moorland, and volcanic landscapes before reaching Uhuru Peak, the Roof of Africa.

Although it is the shortest route to the summit, the faster ascent means less time for acclimatization, making it best suited for experienced hikers or travelers already accustomed to high altitudes.
